Hey there. My wife isn't considering it anymore, she just got sworn in not too long ago. She'll be off to OCS come January 3rd while my daughter and I will be flying to Seattle to stay with family. I have been the only one working in our relationship since we met and I put her through school so she could become an officer. I'm facing the whole Officer's husband situation and i'm not sure how I should feel. It will be the first time since i was 15 that I wont be working and I am going back to school. The whole back to college thing is ominous in itself. Anyone have any tips, or words of wisdom for a soon to be NAVY Officer's Husband?

Raymond,
As an officer's husband myself, I can tell you it's a pretty good life. It has it's challenges--you might not fit in with the female spouses, you have to change jobs every few years, etc.--but mostly these are things you can find a solution for. The separations you'll have to endure are the real hard part. As for going back to school, just treat it like it's your new job. And try to have fun. Are you going to school in Seattle? Love that town.
