Yesterday I woke up to find my son in his crib. And there was poo on his sheet, on his feet, and on his hands. (Read the more detailed story here.)

This morning, I had a different surprise. Last night he woke up crying twice, once at about 10:30, and again about an hour later. This morning, I'm pretty sure I know why. When I went in to get him, he was covered in vomit--but he was as happy as he could be. I'm guessing last night's distress had to do with a tummy ache. The leftover penne with alfredo sauce and chicken I gave him must not have agreed with him.

The crazy thing was just how happy he was this morning. I guess our aversion to vomit (and poo) is learned later in life.

So now he's asleep in the travel crib, and his regular mattress is airing out on the back deck. I hope sunlight really is as powerful as they claim when it comes to deodorizing.
